Do you do competitions and shows?

Yes we do! Our first show 'Chapter One' was on Thursday 3rd May 2018, 7pm at Abbey Theatre Nuneaton (CV11 5DB). We'll be announcing information about competitions and further shows on our Facebook and Instagram.

How much do your classes cost?

We offer 1 free taster class and then 2 pay on the door sessions. If you'd then like to continue with us we'll set you up on a monthly plan. All classes cost £4.50 per class.

What should be worn to the classes?

We recommend leggings, tracksuit bottoms, a comfortable top and jazz shoes or barefoot for our dance classes. We also sell an Akademy Dance uniform which can be ordered at our dance classes.

Just remember you need to be comfortable in what you’re wearing!

Can I stay and watch my child dance?

We’ve found that Children develop more confidence, concentrate and get more from the classes on their own. Our team are both DBS checked and qualified in first aid, so your children are in safe hands.

Are you qualified to teach dance?

From the age of two, Carly and Laura found their passion for dance after attending their local dance school. Over the next twenty years, they studied a variety of subjects including acrobatics, ballet, modern and tap at City College Coventry. Alongside this, they have gained qualifications from the British Theatre Dance Association and a National Diploma in Performing Arts discovering numerous new styles including contemporary, contact improvisation and physical theatre.

Carly was awarded a 2:1 Bachelor of Arts degree in Contemporary Dance from De Montfort University in 2015. Laura has completed professional qualifications in personal training to support and educate the public of a healthy lifestyle. Further information on the team can be found here.

At Akademy Dance our aim is to create a fun, lively and interactive environment, whilst developing skills, confidence, and fitness.
